Choir CDs
The choir has so far produced two CDs. Voices from Central Hall includes a mix of gospel standards and more traditional songs, but done in a Gospel style.
There are 16 songs on the CD including Amazing Grace, Way Over Yonder, The Lord's My Shepherd and Travellin' Shoes.
The choir is assisted by soloists Heather Scott-Smith and Ruth Page as well as friend, mentor and inspiration Pete Churchill. Many of the songs on this CD were recorded as a result of two singing days run by Pete at Central Hall.
The second CD is Christmas Voices and has a variety of carols - some old favourites which have been re-vamped to give them a modern or gospel feel, and some contemporary numbers which have been re-arranged for 4-part voices.
There are also three carols by 20th century composers which are sung in their original form - "The Tree of Life" by Elizabeth Posten, "When Christ was born of Mary free" by John Gardiner and the very beautiful (and very difficult!) "Bethlehem Down" by Peter Warlock.
